# Credits and billing

Learn how credits and billing work in BeyondWords.

## Credits

Credits are the unit of measurement for audio and video generation in BeyondWords.

Your monthly credit allowance depends on your plan, and credits are shared across all projects in your organization.

You can view your remaining credit balance in the bottom-left corner of any project dashboard.

### Credit costs

| Content | Credit cost            | Approximate equivalent     |
| ------- | ---------------------- | -------------------------- |
| Audio   | 1 credit per character | \~1,000 credits per minute |
| Video   | 50 credits per second  | \~3,000 credits per minute |

  You can track credit usage in detail with usage analytics.

### Rollover policy

Unused credits roll over for up to two months, provided you don't downgrade or cancel your plan.

Your monthly credit allowance resets at the start of each billing month.

Deleting audio or video does not restore credits.

### Regeneration costs

When content is regenerated, BeyondWords only regenerates segments that have changed.

You are only charged credits for regenerated segments.

### Overage

Both Standard and Enterprise plans support pay-as-you-go overage.

To manage overage settings:

1. Go to **Organization → Subscription → Overage**
2. Enable or disable overage
3. Optionally set an overage limit
4. Click **Save changes**

If overage is enabled, media generation will continue after your monthly credit allowance is reached until the overage limit (if set) is reached.

Overage is charged per 1,000 credits, with rates based on your total usage during the billing period.

If overage is disabled, media generation will stop once your monthly credit allowance is reached and no additional charges will be incurred.

  Content skipped due to insufficient credits will not automatically generate once your credits reset.

## Billing

### Manage billing

To manage billing:

1. Go to **Organization → Subscription**
2. Click **Manage billing**

You will be redirected to Stripe, where you can:

* Update your payment method
* Update your billing information, including your email address, company address, phone number, and Tax ID
* View your invoice history

### Change your subscription
