# Usage analytics

BeyondWords provides usage analytics so you can track how your plan is being used and monitor activity across projects.

## Check usage analytics

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open usage analytics">
    Go to **Organization** → **Usage** in your BeyondWords dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a metric">
    Choose which metric to check:

    <Warning>
      The available metrics depend on your plan and billing type.
    </Warning>

    * **Unique articles**: The number of content items processed. Each item is counted once, even if it generates multiple audio and/or video outputs.
    * **Credits**: Credits used across audio and video generation
    * **Characters**: Total characters processed across articles and scripts, including letters, numbers, spaces, and special characters. Each character is counted once, even if used for both audio and video generation.
    * **Billed articles**: The number of articles that counted towards billing

  <Step title="Choose a date range">
    Choose whether to view data for a particular billing period, week, month, or custom date range.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose granularity">
    Choose whether to view data by hour, day, week, month, or year, or as a cumulative total.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a breakdown (optional)">
    Optionally filter data for specific voices, projects, or content items.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose chart type">
    Use the dropdown menu to switch between a bar chart and line chart.
  </Step>

  <Step title="View your data">
    You can now view your selected data in the chart.

    Hover over a bar or point to see the exact value.
