Create and manage smart playlists
Overview
Use Smart playlists to automatically curate a list of audio articles or summaries based on your criteria.
Create a Smart playlist
To create a Smart playlist:
Go to
Project > Distribution > Playlists
.
Click
+ Playlist
.
Enter a name for your playlist.
Upload a cover image for your playlist.
Select
Smart
.
Click
Continue
.
Your playlist will be created and you’ll be redirected to the playlist editor.
Whenever you create a playlist, a podcast feed will be created automatically.
Curate a Smart playlist
To curate a Smart playlist:
By default, your Smart playlist will include all articles in your project.
Click
Set rules
.
Click
+ Rule
.
Select the field you want to filter by. This will be based on your arricle metadata. By default it will include author, title, and published date.
Choose the operator you want to use:
is
,
is not
,
contains
,
wildcard
.
Enter the value you want to filter by.
Click
Apply
.
You can add multiple rules and combine them using the
AND
operator.
Review the results and click
Save changes
.
Publish your playlist
To publish your playlist:
Click on the
Embed code
button.
Select the content type:
Articles
or
Summaries
.
Copy the embed code.
Paste the embed code into your website.
You can select
Summaries
only if your articles have summaries.
Share your playlist
To share your playlist:
Click on the
Share
button.
Select the content type:
Articles
or
Summaries
.
Click
Copy link
.
Share the link.
You playlist will not be visible unless you have set the visibility to
Public
.
Copy your playlist ID
To copy your playlist ID:
Click on the
⋯
button.
Click
Copy playlist ID
.
