German [AT/CH/DE] phonemic transcription guidelines

Create your own pronunciations using IPA and XSAMPA.

Adding a custom pronunciation to your project is simple and easy to do. Use the IPA or XSAMPA symbols below to provide a phonemic transcription for the voice to speak. The tables below lists all the phonemes (sounds) that are valid entries for German.

Simply add the word or phrase that you wish to have a custom pronunciation for and create a corresponding transcription using the symbols below. XSAMPA can be typed on a standard keyboard. IPA should be entered using the on-screen keyboard or copy pasted.
