FAQs

To open the left-hand sidebar, click the Open sidebar icon in the top-left corner of the Editor. To close it, click the Close sidebar icon in the top-right corner of the sidebar.(The left-hand sidebar is where you can access settings for voices, scripts, video, background music, and pronunciations. It’s also where you can view the content’s metadata.)
To open or close the right-hand sidebar, click the Toggle sidebar icon in the top-right corner of the Editor.(The right-hand sidebar is where you can set your feature image and video, and search for images and videos in Getty.)
Generally, changes in the Editor apply to that content item only and don’t affect your project defaults. The main exceptions are:
  • Voice clones: New voice clones are made available across the project or organization, depending on the selected scope
  • Pronunciation rules: You can delete or edit project-wide pronunciation rules via the Editor. New rules can be applied at the project or organization level, depending on the selected scope.
  • Style and script templates: New templates are made available across the project. However, editing a template within a content item affects only that item. The project template remains unchanged, and future updates to the project template will not be applied to the content item.
  • Background music: Newly uploaded background tracks are made available across the project or organization, depending on the selected scope
If your content is created via an integration, updates to the live article will automatically sync to the content item. This means any manual edits you make in the Editor may be overwritten. You can prevent this by disabling API updates for the item:
  1. Open the content in the Editor
  2. Open the Info tab in the left-hand sidebar
  3. Scroll down to disable API updates
  4. Click Regenerate to save changes
Keep in mind that, once API updates are disabled, changes to the original article will no longer be reflected in generated audio and video.
Yes, the way that your text is formatted can affect the speech output. For example, bullet points and line breaks can change the pacing and emphasis of the generated speech. For the most natural narration, keep paragraph structure intentional and avoid unnecessary spacing or formatting.
