Check audio status
Check whether your audio is ready to distribute.
Audio will only be distributed if it is processed and published.
You can check the status of your BeyondWords audio in the 'Content (Audios)' section of your project dashboard. Simply refer to or hover on the colored icon on the left-hand side:
  • Processed: The audio has been created or uploaded. You can hover on the green icon to play the audio.
  • Processing: Your audio is being created or uploaded. This usually takes a few minutes.
  • Skipped: Your content has not been processed into audio because you do not have enough characters available. You may wish to upgrade your plan or add a character booster.
  • Draft: This is a draft in the TTS Editor. Select '⋮' then 'Edit text' to continue working on your draft.
  • Error: Something went wrong. Please try reprocessing the audio (select '⋮' next to the audio then 'Reprocess audio') and contact support if you need help.
Characters (including letters, symbols, and spaces) count towards your limit when they are processed into audio. When editing audio, only additional paragraphs or paragraphs with changed voices will count towards your character limit during reprocessing. This means you can make minor text edits for "free".
WordPress plugin users can also check the status of an audio via the BeyondWords section of the Page/Post Settings Sidebar, as well as the dedicated BeyondWords sidebar.

Published vs unpublished audio

You can check whether an audio is published or unpublished through the 'Content (Audios)' section of your project dashboard. Just consult the 'Published' column.
Processed audio is published by default. If you would like processed audio to go into an unpublished state by default, you will need to enable 'Pending review'.
  • If an audio is published, this means that distribution is enabled. The audio will be available through corresponding players and podcast feeds. If you wish to hide a published audio, you can unpublish or delete it anytime.
  • If an audio is unpublished, this means that distribution is disabled. The audio will not be available through corresponding players or podcast feeds. If you would like the audio to be published, you will either need to wait for it to process or publish it manually.

How to manually publish or unpublish an audio

Please note that only processed audio can be manually published or unpublished.

  2. 2.
Hover on the audio you would like to publish or unpublish
