View/edit metadata

Save additional information in your audios.

The metadata object lets you save additional information relevant to an audio.

View metadata

To view the metadata for an audio:

• Hover over the audio and press the '⋮' icon.

• Select the 'View metadata' option from the menu.

• A dialog box titled 'Audio metadata' will appear.

The 'Audio metadata' dialog contains a code block with the metadata JSON associated with the particular audio. You can copy it using the 'Copy to clipboard' button at the right end.

Edit metadata / properties

You can edit the metadata JSON and the properties of an audio through the dashboard as well as the BeyondWords API.

• Hover over the audio and press the '⋮' icon.

• Select the 'Edit properties' option from the menu.

• A dialog box titled 'Edit properties' will appear.

• Paste your metadata JSON text into the 'Metadata' field.

• Press 'Save changes'.

Please make sure to enter a valid JSON object to be able to save metadata.
