Create a language rule to force a word to be pronounced in a target language to improve the listening experience. Some foreign words are incorporated into other languages with little or no change in pronunciation.

For example, if your article is in Romanian with some foreign English words, you can use the Language rule to force those words to be pronounced as they would be in English.

You can apply this rule to all audios in a project or just a single audio.

Not all voices support the Language rule type yet. We are continuously working on adding more languages to our library.

Dashboard

1. Use Key to enter the word you'd like to be spoken in the target language.

2. For Rule select the Language rule.

3. Use Value to select the target language for your word's pronunciation.

API

Use the /rules endpoint to create new rules and the /content endpoint to regenerate to apply new rules to older content.

New rules will only be applied to new content that you generate. To apply rules to older content you will need to regenerate it.
