Check audio status

Check whether your audio has been processed.

You can check the status of your BeyondWords audio in the 'Content (Audios)' section of your project dashboard. Simply refer to or hover on the colored icon on the left-hand side.

You can also filter by status.

Typically, it will take just a few minutes for text to be processed into audio or for audio files to be uploaded. There may be a delay if lots of content is imported at once.

  • Processed: The audio is available for distribution. You can hover on the green icon to play and listen, but for extended listening we recommend opening the shareable URL.

  • Processing: Your content is being uploaded or converted into audio. This usually takes a few minutes. Please note that distributions will not work until the audio has processed.

  • Unprocessed: Your content is the processing queue. It should be ready in a few minutes.

  • Skipped: Your content has not been processed into audio because you do not have enough characters available. You may wish to upgrade your plan or add a character booster.

  • Draft: This is a draft in the Text-to-Speech Editor. Select '⋮' then 'Edit text' to continue working on your draft.

  • Disabled: This audio has been disabled. You can re-enable it anytime.

  • Error: Something went wrong during processing. Please try reprocessing the audio (select '⋮' next to the audio then 'Reprocess audio').

WordPress plugin users can also check the status of an audio via the BeyondWords section of the Page/Post Settings Sidebar, as well as the dedicated BeyondWords sidebar.

If you need support, please use the chat function on your dashboard or email [email protected].

Will skipped audio be reprocessed once characters become available?

No, skipped audio will not be automatically reprocessed once characters become available. However, you can manually trigger reprocessing:

  1. Go to the 'Content (Audios)' section of your project dashboard

  2. Hover on the skipped audio that you would like to reprocess the audio for

  3. Select '⋮' then 'Reprocess audio' — if enough characters are available, the audio should be processed within a few minutes

What happens to scheduled audio?

If you schedule your audio for later, it will be processed and available through your dashboard as usual. However, it will not be published (distributed through BeyondWords Players or the podcast feed) until the scheduled time.
